In interviews this week two friends of Ryan O Donnell one from Norwell and one from Dean College where Ryan was a freshman- talked about their friend and what he meant to them.

Ryan s ancienter brother Mike O Donnell also wrote about him and the tragic loss his family is facing.

Mike described his younger brother love an upbeat person.

Ryan was so young Mike wrote in an email. He was such a wonderful brother a wonderful son and someone who left us all love well young.

Mike said Ryan was caring polite and treated everyone with respect.

So many people cared about him Mike wrote. I can't trust he s gone. It is going to receive a long time for my family and I to regain any sense of normalcy. It's meant so much to us that so many of his friends have said such kind things about him. I love you Ryan and I miss you and I understand you're in a better place."

Craig Rumble grew up with both William Ecclestone and Ryan O Donnell on Riverside Drive and described the two teenagers as his absolute best friends.

Since we all met at round age 7 we spent every day together from sun up until sun down Rumble said. Ryan was hands-down the funniest person I had in my life. He was never a fighter and often found a way to job things out peacefully with his friends.

Rumble said the trio enjoyed going on adventures round town riding bikes together going bridge jumping and structure forts in the woods.

Rumble said he has several memories of O Donnell that he will never forget.

The day Ryan came home from a month long summer camp down the Cape he ran up to both me Bill and a few other friends and gave us all hugs which showed how much he missed us he said. I will never forget that moment.

Ryan was the one person that was often available and intend to/tend toing to hang out no thing what the circumstances Rumble added. One Christmas Day Rumble said Ryan called him to hang out.

I said he was crazy since it was Christmas and there was as well much snow except I ended up meeting up with him as I always did. I could never get enough of him his humor and personality clinged to me like Velcro.

Rumble said he is going to miss seeing and hearing O Donnell one of his best friends.

Besides my family [Ryan] was the number one person I was looking forward to seeing when I returned from college he said. However now I can only see you in both my dreams and my memories.

O Donnell enrolled as a freshman at Dean College in Franklin last drop and had just started his spring rest when the event occurred.

Adam Keech a fellow student at Dean is one of the friends O Donnell made during his short time in college.

Ryan was certainly a good person to have as a familiar face at our campus said Keech who added that albeit he didn t get to socialize with O Donnell on too many occasions he talked to him casually.
